The Court of Appeals Hands Down Some Of Its June Decisions

The New York Court of Appeals handed down some of its June decisions earlier today. Here is a quick rundown of some of them: this decision addresses the dismissal of a building owner’s holdover proceeding against a tenant in a rent-stabilized building; these companion decisions — [1] and [2] — address the interpretation of settlement agreement (The two decisions have note been posted to the Court of Appeals’ Website because of an internal glitch with their site. I’m sure the Court will soon post the separate decisions); and this decision upholds the removal of Justice Cerbone from Mount Kisco Town Court.

Note: This will be the last month until after the summer when the Court will hear arguments, excluding special circumstances.
