New York Judicial Watchdog Jailed for Refusing to Apologize

Those who work and worked in the New York Court system probably know the name Elena Sassower, part of the mother and daughter watchdog team heading up The Center for Judicial Accountability, Inc. Ms. Sassower refused to agree to the terms of her two-year probation for disrupting Congress (see story excerpt from New York Law Journal in New York Lawyer). Apparently, Sassower refused to write letters of apology to certain Senators and former Court of Appeals Judge and current United state Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Judge Richard Wesley; therefore, a Washington D.C. Judge sentenced Sassower to six months in jail.
