Electronic discovery is a developing issues that most lawyers and law firm have been trying to avoid until they have to deal with it. However, the reality is that electronic discovery will likely be ubiquitous in the legal practice within a few short years.
Eddix has just published a comprehensive report on Electronic Discovery in Litigation. This blawg has participated in sharing the information concerning this comprehensive report that provides a wake-up call to law firms. You can view portions of the report regarding: the venue that have most encountered electronic discovery; a report on how judges are rated in their adeptness with electronic discovery issues; and how prosecutors are rated in their adeptness with these issues (see report here).
I have already read through a portion of the report and the reason why I was able to do so was the way the information is presented. Eddix provides important information about the business of electronic discovery and how it has been playing out in the courts and law firms through a dynamic, enticing foramat. The graphs are easy to understand and not overwhelming and the content appears geared to the unitiated reader, without being condescending or pedantic.
