The New York Law Journal ran an odd article about one of Judge Benjamin Cardozo’s most famous cases,  Palsgraf v. Long Island Railroad.  Apparently, a relative of Ms. Palsgraf — whose plight every first-year law student should know — claims that the decision has "cursed" the Palsgraf family in unrelated, subsequent law suits.
